Building fire safety requirements under AS 1851-2012
From 13 February 2026, all class 1b and class 2 to class 9 buildings in NSW must have essential fire safety measures inspected and tested in accordance with AS 1851-2012.
All buildings must now meet strict requirements for routine fire system testing, inspection, and maintenance.
